What to Expect from Your Consultation

The Purpose of the Consultation

Your estate planning consultation is a focused, one-on-one conversation designed to help you:

  • Clarify what prompted you to seek estate planning

  • Identify your goals, concerns, and priorities

  • Understand the estate planning process from start to finish

  • Learn about the planning services I offer and how they may apply to your situation

This meeting is about education, clarity, and fit—not paperwork or document drafting.

Format of the Consultation

Consultations are conducted virtually via Google Meet. A secure meeting link will be provided prior to your scheduled appointment.

To allow me to focus fully on our conversation, I may use an AI-powered note-taking tool during the meeting. These notes are used solely to assist with internal documentation and follow-up and are treated as confidential client information.

What This Meeting Is (and Is Not)

✔ A strategic discussion tailored to your circumstances

✔ An opportunity to ask questions and understand your options

✔ A chance for both of us to determine whether working together makes sense.

  ✘ Not a document-drafting meeting

  ✘ Not a data-collection or form-filling session

✘ No advance questionnaires or financial documents required

Consultation Fee

The consultation fee is $500, payable in advance to reserve and confirm your meeting time.

If you decide to move forward with estate planning services after the consultation, the consultation fee will be credited toward the total cost of your planning engagement.

Payment instructions and a secure payment link will be provided when your consultation is scheduled.

What Happens After the Consultation

After our meeting, you will have a clear understanding of:

  • Whether estate planning is appropriate for you at this time

  • The scope of planning that may be recommended

  • The next steps, timeline, and fees involved

If you choose to proceed, you will receive a comprehensive intake questionnaire to complete. That questionnaire gathers the personal information needed to develop your plan thoughtfully and efficiently.

There is no obligation to move forward after the consultation.

Why the Process Works This Way

Estate planning decisions are personal and often complex. Beginning with a conversation—rather than paperwork—allows for better planning, clearer communication, and more durable outcomes.

This process is designed to respect your time, provide clarity, and ensure that any planning work we undertake is intentional and well-informed.
